As I work to be closer to Jesus, changing bad habits is on my heart. I turn my bad habits over to the Lord, asking for help (Mark) but knowing there will be judgement (Acts) if I do not change. It is comforting God is patient (2 Peter) with me and I have confidence God won’t change is mind (James).
JESUS ANNOUNCES THE GOOD NEWS
14 After John was put in prison, Jesus went into Galilee, proclaiming the good news of God.15 “The time has come,” he said. “The kingdom of God has come near. Repent and believe the good news!”
29 “Therefore since we are God’s offspring, we should not think that the divine being is like gold or silver or stone—an image made by human design and skill. 30 In the past God overlooked such ignorance, but now he commands all people everywhere to repent. 31 For he has set a day when he will judge the world with justice by the man he has appointed. He has given proof of this to everyone by raising him from the dead.”
9 The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.
17 Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.
My prayer today for change of my bad habits.
